Nielson Offers New Incentive for US Members

Nielson/Netrating Panel  just announced the release of a new consumer incentive program for US members: New Incentive Program - U.S. panelist will receive $5.00 per Quarter. Any legal resident of the U.S., age 18 or older, who joins the Nielsen//NetRatings online research panel on or after July 18, 2008 while the Program is in effect. New panel members will be sent the $5 incentive payment earned from joining the panel, 3 months after their join date. If new members are still "active" at the end of the first months of joining the panel, the new members will continue to receive $5 a quarter for every quarter they remain "active". Based on Nielson's terms: "Once a household has joined the panel, it will earn $5.00 for each quarter (i.e., three-month period) it remains active in the panel.A household will be considered active if the Nielsen//NetRatings panel software has not been removed and Nielsen NetRatings receives at least one automatic log file from the panel software within the last 30 days of the quarterly period. In the event that any of these conditions are not met for any reason, including technical problems associated with the software, a panelist will not be eligible for the $5.00 quarterly incentive."
