Any one heard of them? I received an email from "Melissa - Contracting" Testing, Subject is: "Research Panel Opportunity". The email address is a gmail..I am not sure if it's a big deal.

Anyway, here is part of the email:

You may be qualified for our research study.
Our study consists of participating in an online community web site for several days in the month of June and the month of July. This is something you can do from any computer that has Internet access.
Study Requirements - For those who qualify and who complete all of the study requirements, we are offering a cash incentive of $400.

· The required commitment is for online participation of about 60 to 90 minutes a day for 7 days in a row from June 23 – June 29 and again from July 21 - 23.
· On each day of participation, you'll receive tasks and questions to answer online that should take about 90 minutes. The tasks will be available after 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time each day and you can complete the activities at your own convenience within a 24 hour period.
o After 12:00 am Pacific Time
o After 1:00 am Mountain Time
o After 2:00 pm Central Time
o After 3:00 pm Eastern Time
· Between June 20 and June 22, you will need to access the site and spend 30-60 minutes creating an online profile by answering several survey questions.
· The study will last 10 days, from June 23 through June 29 and again from July 21 through July 23. Each of those days, you'll be expected to spend at least 60 - 90 minutes on the site completing the activities and socializing with other participants.
· To earn the study incentive you will need to satisfy the following:
o You have completed all study activities within the allowable time frame.
o You have demonstrated thoughtful and insightful thinking during activity participation.
o You have been open, honest and sincere in your feedback and opinions.
· You will need to have access to a computer with high-speed Internet access. Our study will not provide any equipment or technical services.
· Your computer will need to have a compatible Internet browser. Acceptable browsers are:
o Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 on a Macintosh
o Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher on a PC with Windows XP operating system
o Mozilla Firefox version 1.5 or higher for Macintosh, PC or Linux
· Your computer will also need to run QuickTime movies or Windows Media Player compatible video.
· The study requires some tasks and activities that require you to submit photos and images, including a personal image of yourself.
· To ensure privacy, the study will not disclose personal contact information about you to other participants such as mailing addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.

No I have never heard of them. Did you try goggling them or calling that number??

they look fairly legit but, to sign up on their site
you need to be located near one of 6 cities, it would seem they do on-site testing mostly then...
