How do you handle taxes with survey income? 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Someone emailed me asking this question a while back, I realize it is a good and common question.

If you make more than $600 with one survey company in a year, the survey company will report your income to IRS and send you a 1099. In this case, you must report your income.

You don't have to claim it if you don't make more than $600 from a certain company..... However, personally I always report all of my survey income regardless if I receive a 1099 or not, because even survey companies don't report your income to IRS (if they pay you less than $600/year), they are still likely keep your TaxID and earning records, and it is your responsibility to report all income regardless how much you make.
