My Experience
SurveySavvy is a very reputable market research paid survey company, and also is the very first online paid survey site I joined, so I have been a SurveySavvy member for about 5 years now. They send surveys regularly. At the beginning, most of the surveys I received are IT related. but starting about two years ago (2007)  I also get more general surveys in a variety of topics as well. IT related surveys seem have higher payout, but general surveys usually pay quite well too. I also have done high paying phone interview and focus groups for Survey Savvy. I receive about 2-3 surveys every month, and qualify about half of them. I have made close to $400 dollar since joining SurveySavvy panel.

SurveySavvy pay cash via check, you need to request payment yourself, and there is no minimum requirement to request payout. I generally receive my survey check about 5 weeks afer requesting payment.

SurveySavvy also has good support - I have emailed their support a couple of times, and received response within 2 - 3 business days.

Other Notes:
1. SurveySavvy has a two-tier referral program. You get incentives when the friends and family you have referred complete surveys, and you also get incentives when referrals of the friends and family you have referred complete surveys.

2. I suggest you cash out as soon/often as possible, since there is no minimum cash-out requirement. Also according to SurveySavvy's Terms and Conditions below, you might get charged "Service Charge" if you are inactive for 12 months:

SurveySavvy.com will impose a service charge ("Service Charge") of $1 per month on each member account that has been inactive for a period of twelve months. "Inactive" shall mean that the member has not taken any of the following actions within a twelve-month period: (i) responded to any survey invitations; (ii) updated their member contact information on the member portion of the SurveySavvy.com Web site; (iii) referred individuals who have completed the registration process; (iv) completed any of the member portraits, and (v) withdrawn money from their member account (to the extent money was available for withdrawal). The Service Charge will continue to apply until the member takes any one of the actions specified in the preceding sentence or until the member's account balance is reduced to zero. The Service Charge will not apply to members whose accounts are already at zero and the Service Charge will never result in a negative member account balance. If a member's account has been charged a Service Charge, and the account balance reaches zero, that account will be designated as inactive but will remain in the SurveySavvy.com database. Members can have the Service Charge removed from their account by taking one of the following actions: (i) affirmatively responding to a survey invitation; or (ii) updating their personal information in the member contact information section of the SurveySavvy.com Web site. Inquiries regarding the application of the Service Charge and complying with procedures to have the Service Charge removed from a member account can be addressed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Once SurveySavvy.com has verified that a member has complied with one of the actions necessary to remove the Service Charge, the Service Charge will be removed from the member's account.

#17 Surveys are great but fairly inconsistantCameron 2011-09-07 02:32
The surveys, when they do come are great and quick, but the referral program helps a lot and it is mutually beneficial. https://www.surveysavvy.com?id=4801708&action=join
This is my referral link, I would appreciate it if you got into survey savvy through me and it gives you some benefits out of it too.

I agree with a few other people here in that surveysavvy is an okay survey site, but is poorly operated.
I get maybe a couple surveys a week but only qualify for maybe 3 a month.
Cashed out at $10 and waited 12 weeks for a check. contacted them and got a response a couple days later saying a check would be sent out.
One week after I contacted them I got a hand addressed envelope in the mail with an apology for the delay in payments this year.
I just cashed out another $12 check this time we will see what happens.

You get surveys rarely and the rewards are credited onto your account in 6 weeks, then you have to wait for another 10 weeks after you request a cashout. I've been waiting for a $6 check for 15 weeks now. When you contact them all you hear is nonsense excuses, they think that the people are fool. It is not a money problem, it is a matter of honesty and principles. NEVER GET INVOLVED with those SCAMMERS!!!

#12 Legitimate site but poorly runKathy 2011-03-17 20:43
While I think it is a legitimate survey site, I think it is poorly run. You really cannot track what surveys they credit you for because it just the number of surveys and a dollar amount. Such as you completed 10 surveys for $8.00. There is no way to track it back to any log you may keep of surveys completed. They also seem to take forever to credit you for a survey. The one good/bad thing is I don't qualify for many surveys but they disqualify you fairly quickly so you don't waste a lot of time.

Update - I still receive 1-3 surveys a month and qualify for 1 survey every other month. Still no phone interviews and product tests. I still don't do the referral program. I have made less than $27 in 2 years. I haven't had any problems with them. I just cashed out and then I will close my account, not worth my time.

#9 re: Nothing yet in accountmlynn 2009-07-05 17:10
AO, when did you take the surveys? You might need to give them a little more time to credit your surveys. If you don't see credits 4 weeks after you took the surveys, contact their support.
Make sure always save survey email invites from any survey companies if you qualify and complete the surveys.
If you want to get paid, you need to request a payment at the member page. SurveySavvy do NOT send out payment automatically.
Surveysavvy is a good paid survey site. Good luck!

I've been a member of SS for 3 months and have made $2. I keep updating my profile regularly but I just don't get many surveys. One good thing, as earlier post mentioned, is the no minimum payout. I've received 2 checks for $1. I'm still hopeful because I've heard good things.

Hi Barbara,

Survey Savvy does not give points/rewards for the "Profile Surveys", those surveys are designed to get more information from members so they can send more targeted surveys to members. Most survey sites don't give any rewards for profile surveys as well.

You can read my post at the message board thread called "Paid Survey Tips", where Tip #4 I discussed about those profile surveys.

If you have successfully qualified and completed a survey, it might take a while to have the credits posted. If you don't see money in your account after a few weeks, I would suggest you email them, their customer service is pretty good (I have contacted them before.)

I haven't receiving many surveys as I used to, but maybe because I haven't fill out their profile surveys yet.. I know those surveys are pretty long.

Anyway, Barbara, Survey Savvy is not a scam, they are a reputable market research company and they will not share your personal information with anyone.

#5 Scam | Scheme ???BAH 2009-03-17 05:47
I have spent more time and energy supposedly pre-qualifying to eventually qualify at this site than any other and have accumulated 0. I firmly believe this site just collects info for their own benefit to sell under the guise of potential survey qualification. To date I have taken all their static surveys and three others that were sent to me and have an account balance of 0. Looking at previous posts, it seems the way to 'make money' with them is to refer. They are using your personal info in what way?? Actually qualifying for some elusive survey or just mining for data to sell?? Since other sites have actually rewarded points (money) and this one hasn't, considering all the time I have put into it, I'll concentrate on the ones that compensate for my time and info.

I received my first survey today. It said it paid $1 for a 10 minute survey. Not much, but I decided to participate anyway. Wow was that the longest 10 minutes that I ever spent. I didn't time the survey but I would have to say that it took from 20 to 25 minutes of my time. I was not happy with the time vs pay. I hope that I have a better experience with them in the future. I'll post my later results.

Can someone give feedback on what the likelihood is of completion of a survey (and therefore getting paid for it) ?!?

I find survey sites that require you complete the survey to get any cash/credit to be the biggest scams because you'll find it difficult if not impossible to legitimately 'complete' a survey according to them

Hi Jaime,

Yes, SurveySavvy has a great referral program! Also they have more high paying surveys, I received three $25/$35 surveys just this month! Oh one more thing is you can cash out no matter how much you have in your account (even you only have $1.00!), not like some other sites you have to wait to reach minimum!

aha, now I see why you like it:

"Completing surveys is rewarding, but the most effective way to earn money is through our patented referral system (Patent No. 7194448 & Patent No. 6446044). We pay SurveySavvy.com members an average of $2 for every survey a SurveySavvy.com member's referral completes and an average of $1 for every survey their referrals' complete."
