My Experience
I joined Opinion Place survey panel after they started accepting non-AOL members (I couldn’t remember when, it might be the sometime during 2007 or early 2008) At the beginning, I didn’t qualify for any surveys (probably 1 -2 survey I tried), then I stopped receiving surveys. Not long ago I got a tip from MySurvey123 members that I need to login to my account to check available surveys – so I did and immediately qualified and completed a survey ($1.5). I received the Paypal payment 2 weeks after completing the survey! Soon after that I start receiving “Special Invitation” surveys which include a couple of $10 online interactive survey/focus groups!

Opinion Place is definitely a good paid survey site, and I recommend it!

  1. Received an email from Opinion Place, they are closing.

    Dear Valued Opinion Place(R) Member,
It is with bittersweet emotion that we announce the retirement of Opinion Place, effective April 2, 2014. On April 2, you will no longer be able to qualify for market research studies using our Opinion Place product.

Be assured that studies completed prior to April 2, 2014 will be rewarded. Please allow up to 10 days to receive that incentive.

However.. if you enjoyed taking surveys with Opinion Place, then we are excited to introduce you to one of our newest products, iPoll. As an iPoll member you can expect:

    1. More Reward Opportunities
    2. Mobile surveys
    3. Social Login
    4. Same Great Company

Please go HERE to visit iPoll.

Thank you for being a member of Opinion Place and sharing your thoughts with us. Your time and opinions were greatly appreciated!

    • Hi, my name is Maranda. My email address is marashe2002@yahoo.com. I did two surveys one in 10/16/13 (study #1102797 – $4.00) and one in 12/18/13 ( study # 1101623  -$2.00). I was suppose to get my Amazon.com gift card claim codes a month later after those two dates, but I never received them.  I try to find your websites, but I saw that Opinion Place had already retire/expire on April 2, 2014. I think that it’s too late, but I’m going to miss Opinion Place.  PS I do have ipoll.com account as well. Is there any way you can redeem $6.00 from Opinion Place? If not, it would be great if I can redeem $6.00 from ipoll. Anyway, I hope you get this and thanks you for your time.

    • Hi Maranda,

Did you contact Opinion Place after November last year and before their closing? .

It’s such a shame that you didn’t get paid by Opinion Place. I have taken many of their surveys and always got paid cash by Papal.

I really doubt contacting iPoll will help you with anything, but you can give them a try. Good luck!

    • I never got any of my payment for doing your survey’s. And I never got any notice of you closing.

  2. Update – They merged with SurveySpree. Therefore I don’t get surveys from them anymore.

    • They “un-merged” from Surveyspree a while back. I just got a $5 Paypal payment from them for a survey I did 2-3 weeks ago. Will upload the payment.

  3. I’ve played the game with Opinion place for quite some time. What I’ve found is that, over time, most of the surveys I start, I don’t qualify for. Don’t ask why, I have no idea. So, while it’s nice to think you can make alot or even a good amount taking surveys….forget about it. I’ve written them several times and they simply say that not everyone can qualify. I don’t know if it’s ageism, race or what but I know that I can give an opinion on most things as well as the next person so don’t know why I wouldn’t qualify for the majority of what they’ve always sent me.

  4. Hi,

I’m new to this whole paid survey game… and so far, it has been going okay…

Except until recently… when I stumbled on this little problem with Opinion Place.

I’m not sure if this is a common occurrence since I tried looking everywhere online to see if anyone else has this problem…

Here’s the thing… I went online and did the survey online… I passed the screener and they told me that I ‘qualify’ to do this survey for $4 for 20 minutes.

I went through the whole process… answered all the questions… I even got to the page where they were asking if I enjoyed taking the survey and if the pictures provided in this survey were in good quality or not…

Then low and behold… once I think I almost done… I get to the page where they say ‘Sorry, you do NOT qualify’ for this survey?’

Huh? To say the least, I was surprised and confused…

From what I have read on the official site and everyone’s review, that once you qualify to take a survey, it’s pretty much smooth sailing…

I mean… If you don’t qualify to take a survey in the first place, they pretty much kick you right out at the beginning after you take the screener and tell you that… and NOT 20 minutes later after taking the actual survey…

I did end up sending an email to their help desk, and they were nice enough to take care of this problem…

But for those of you who are experts in this… Is this a common occurrence with Opinion Place?

They tell you qualify for a survey after passing the screener, you spend a good 20 minutes doing the actual survey with all the detailed Q & A only to tell you at the very end that you did NOT qualify in the end? :side:

Please help a newbie in figuring this out.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. I just love Opinion Place! I usually qualify for most of the surveys and they do really pay. In total, I’ve gotten about $10 from them this past month. 😀 The only bad thing about this site is that it takes a couple of weeks before they pay you. 🙁

  6. I receive 1-2 surveys a month. I qualify for 1 survey every other month. In 2009 I was qualifying for 1-2 surveys a month. If you havent qualified for a survey in 3 days go to their website and log in.
