I have received a couple of emails from people who are wondering if paidsurveys.com is a legitimate paid survey site. I never heard this site before so spent a little time on the site, and here is my take on this site:
Paidsurveys.com is NOT a paid survey site. Then what is it? I think mostly likely it is a email harvesting site – a site collects your email and send you/spam you with advertisings.
It is a free site, but before you can get any information from them, you must provide your name, email address and country of residence. This is where the “trick” is – they “force” you to provide your name and email in exchange for the so called paid surveys. Do they have paid surveys and are they going to pay you? Probably not. Here is what they say in their Privacy Policy:
“PERSONAL INFORMATION – When you register to use our services, we collect a variety of information about you. Generally, we use your information to send you the surveys most relevant to you. While visiting our site, we may provide you with advertisements, promotions, sweepstakes, and offers from third party providers. If you choose to accept any such offers, you may directly provide your information in connection with the offer to such third-party provider. Please refer to the third party provider’s own privacy policy if you have any questions regarding how your information will be used by such providers. Please be aware that these offers may be presented on pages framed by a Company website. Although these offer pages have the look and feel of our website, you will be submitting your information directly to the third-party advertiser. You agree that we will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings or as the result of the presence of such providers on a Company site.“.
Note the highlighted bold part – It clearly indicates that you will be presented with advertisement, promotions and offers. Now if you belong to a real legitimate paid survey panels you probably know that this paidsurvey.com absolutely is not a real paid survey site. why? Because real paid survey sites only send you market research surveys, no ads, no offers, nothing else.
