This post is my Swagbucks review – I joined Swagbucks a while back, but only recently actively participated in surveys and other activities, and earned enough to cash out!
Swagbucks is a leading online rewards site where members can earn points for their online activities, and redeem points for gift cards to their favorite retailers like Amazon and Walmart or get cash paid through Paypal.
Is Swagbucks Legit or Scam?
Powered by Prodege, LLC, Swagbucks is definitely legitimate. Personally I have redeemed points and received amazon gift cards. I will provide my payment proof later in this review. Around the web you will be able to find numerous positive feedback from members who have been paid.
Swagbucks Rewards
Swagbucks members earn Swagbucks (points) for various online activities, and you can redeem Swagbucks (SB) for following rewards:
- Cash Via Paypal – minimum 500 SB = $5
- Amazon Gift Cards – minimum 160 SB – $1, 300SB = $3
- Visa Prepaid Debt Card – minimum 500 SB =$5
- Other store gift cards such as Walmart, Target, iTune – minimum 500 SB = $5

How to Earn Money at Swagbucks
Swagbucks is a reward site. Like other reward sites, they offer members multiple ways to earn SB points:
#1. Cash back shopping – at over 1500 retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Starbucks. Earn SB points for every dollar you spend plus get access to exclusive deals and coupons to your favorite retailers. Personally I use RetailMeNot coupon finder app for cash back shopping.
#2. Answer Daily Polls – Earn1 SB points for daily polls, this is the easiest way to earn points!
#3. Answer surveys – Earn SB points when you answer surveys and polls. This is my favorite way to earning, and I will provide more detail in my Swagbucks review later.
#4. Watch videos – Earn SB points for watching playlists of entertaining videos. I haven’t done this, might try it later.
#5. Complete offers – You earn SB points when you sign up for offers for new services or free samples etc. Personally I do not recommend doing offers.
#6. Search the web – Earn SB points when you search the web using their Yahoo! powered search engine. Personally I have not use this either.
#7. Play games – You can earn SB points when you make in-game purchases through their partners at GSN, or play SB’s original free games and earn randomly.
My Swagbucks Review
Time to share my experience!
I have joined Swagbucks a few years back, since they were (still are) quite popular. But honestly I didn’t think it’s a good site for me to earn rewards. However, recently I logged into my Swagbucks account, and gladly found out that they are offering many surveys with reasonable points. So I decided to give them a try.
I started logging into my account regularly to answer polls and surveys. Just after a few times of checking them out, I have earned enough SB points to cash out a $3 amazon gift card.
I earned total 375 SB points since joining Swagbucks, here is the breakdown of my SB earned:
- 5 SB – sign up & confirm email
- 5 SB – profile survey
- 3 SB – daily poll (1 SB for each poll)
- 2 SB – answer survey, DQ (disqualify, 1 SB for each survey try)
- 360 SB – complete a survey (including 60 SB bonus)
I might be lucky that I qualified and completed a 360 SB points survey – It wasn’t a very long survey, I recall it’s not terribly boring either.
I suggest you take their FEATURED surveys – since you will get at least 1 SB point if you disqualify. Also try to answer those surveys when they offer bonus SB points.
I was a little surprised (but happy) to find out I can redeem 300 SB for $3 amazon gift card – so I did. I received the amazon gift card the day after I submitted the cash out request!
Next time I will redeem SB points through Paypal and update this review. I recently cashed out $10 via Paypal at MyPoints (which also is owned and operated by Prodege, LLC.) and received the payment super fast!
Swagbucks website is mobile friendly, and they also have mobile apps. So you can use your smart phones or tablets to answer their surveys and do others to earn rewards.
Swagbucks Review Update – April 2023
Since last update, I have redeemed multiple times from Swagbucks for different rewards, including $5 PayPal, $25 amazon or $25 Walmart gift cards. I have always received the payments one business day after requesting the rewards.
Should you join Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a popular reward site. Based on my experience, I think it is also a decent survey site. So Yes you should give Swagbucks a try! I probably will explore their other ways to earn SB points, but definitely will continue to answer surveys and polls!
