Viva Research - Scam E-mail
Viva Research works pretty much like Panda Research (also call themselves research?!) - another big scam! They are NOT marketing research or paid survey company at all. Do NOT waste your time with them and STAY AWAY!

Just wanted to add that Viva Research is definitely a scam. I signed up and did a survey for $10.00 for a popular postage company. I had to take the free trial (30 days). Their advertising does say to take the free trial and then you get credit. What they don't advertise is that if you don't keep the service, minimum of $16.00 per month you don't get credit for the survey. The trial period is 30 days. So if you keep it for that period, then get charged $16.00 and possibly get paid $10.00 for the survey, doesn't that mean you are $6 in the hole? Has anyone ever got paid by this paid survey site? I verified with the vendor who advertises with the service that you have to complete the whole trial period before they pay, if they pay.

This really means you spend money not make money.

Hi javajava9,

Thanks for your feedback and comment on Viva Research. I totally agree with you Viva is a scam - they don't have surveys and they are NOT a paid survey company. And they are not honest about their paid offers either, so people end of spending money not making money!

Hi Jeff,

Yes that's a problem of those GPT sites - some (most) of those free survey offers are scams or spam sites. I did some of those free "survey" sites sign up offers, but used one of the disposable email address.

Viva Research is the biggest joke! I took a bunch of surveys in December of 2007 and it took me 7 months to get them approved. Their automatic detection system "supposively" didnt work and I had to send 30+ emails pestering them to get them manually approved. They answered about 30% of my emails; mainly emails that were threatening bad publicity and legal action under violations of the UCC.

I had $175 out in surveys and was out $62 dollars on expenses, not to mention my time chasing them down. After persistently emailing them daily for 30 days I finally got some of them approved and promptly requested payment ($127) while I worked on the others. Of course I had to pester them about my payment for a few weeks but finally received it via PayPal.

Then, after finally getting the others approved, they wouldnt release my payment of $48 because it was under the $50 limit needed to request payment. So, here we go again....now I have to argue and chase them down to get my final payment of $48.

According to my lawyer, if enough people complain via forums we may be able to have a class action lawsuit. Of course, their "Terms and Conditions" require arbitration but I for one would be happy to take my tenacious nature and time to put these scammers out of business!!!
